Data analysts are technical professionals who interpret large sets of data. They work in a variety of different industries and help companies improve their operational efficiency by providing actionable steps. Depending on the business, data analysts work at many levels of the corporate structure, from entry-level positions to senior advisers. 

A data analyst is a person whose job is to gather and interpret data to solve a specific problem. The role includes plenty of time spent with data but entails communicating findings too. Here's what many data analysts do on a day-to-day basis: Gather data: Analysts often collect data themselves.

They use statistical methods, software tools, and programming languages to clean and manipulate data, create visualizations and dashboards, and design systems and databases.
